I will create a website containing documented criteria for selection of evaluation methods which will be used to evaluate Information Technology pertinent to the Geosciences, including websites and CD ROMs. In the fall, after selecting and posting an IT module and the process involved in selecting that module on my website, an open ended question pertinent to Oceanography 252 will be posted with the intent of using that selected IT module or website to answer it; this question will be asked to fellow TA's during a professional development seminar in the spring. The TA's will then be asked to write down any questions and comments they have about the activity, which will then be followed by discussion of those questions and comments and how information technology combined with problems based learning can enhance education in the Geosciences. |
