The theme I have chosen to develop for this project is an in-depth study of the Edwards Aquifer which addresses this problem: "You are a voting-aged citizen of your city. Your current water source, the Edwards Aquifer is reaching over pumping limits. As an informed citizen, formulate applicable solutions and be prepared to present them at this month's city council meeting." Using this theme as a focal point, my proposed professional development will introduce web-based reasearch/learning, website building promoting student outreach, real working model building, and GIS to expand knowledge of spatial skills application. |
